There are a LOT of options on Amazon for back seat dog hammocks / seat protectors, but this is the one you want. Even though it's black, it does not seem to get too hot in the sun and it is DURABLE. We tried one other model (chosen because it was gray and would have matched my car's interior better), but it fell apart after two uses. This one looks like it can take all of Jack's rolling around and jumping for ages. (Jack is a 50 lb boxer.)It would be nice if this seat protector had storage pockets -- the other, less-durable one did -- but it's far better for an item to not try to be too many things and to just do the main thing it's designed for well.And it looks good while doing it, too.
