This beautiful sheepskin chair pad is richly imbued with long, thick fur that brings immediate comfort to any chair that it is used on.The pad is cut to just the right size to fit any standard chair. The skin is edged with a thick thread which appears sturdy, well stitched and has no gaps or missed stitching along the edge. This, I suspect, there will be no fraying of the edges.The package comes with four large spot tape pads that can be applied to the back of the skin to prevent sliding and movement of the pad on any solid surface however, if you choose to use these pads, the skin will not be easy to remove for cleaning as the pads are heavy duty use and stick with an adhesive that will not easily let loose. Once on, the chair pad can be considered permanently affixed to the chair or item where it is being used.The skin itself requires dry cleaning should it become soiled so I would recommend that you use an absorbent pad over the top of the sheepskin anywhere you plan to use it where liquid may be considered a problem. (Think children and red Kool aid).This beautiful skin looks great on a hardwood chair and I plan on purchasing additional pieces for my dining room set. The skin coloring is even and a gorgeous off-white that especially goes well with a darker colored wood. Currently one of the ones I purchased I am using on a recliner chair which has improved the comfort considerably.I would highly recommend this item. The sheepskin arrived exactly one week after I ordered it. It was well packaged in a vacuum sealed bag to prevent any bugs or other nasties from getting to the skin and easily fluffed up with a few shakes and a light soft brush. Be careful though, children and pets will quickly claim this item as their own due to the luxury comfort this beautiful chair pad provides. I had to fight off two dogs, my daughter AND my husband before I could claim it as my own!
